Temporary COM or Future AUP Administration building?

Proposed 3-Storey AUP College of Medicine Building [aka Plan C: B1+B2]

To All fellow alumni and friends,

Greeting to you all!

What a beautiful thought to start the new year 2012 with the hope that soon we are going to witness the realization of our dream to put up a medical school at AUP.

By God's amazing grace, this will be the 4th SDA medical school around the world. As for your information, we only have 3 SDA medical school in existence so far; in Loma Linda, California, in Argentina, and in Mexico. I invite each one of you to be a part in the fulfillment of our vision.

Please send this attachments to your family and friends to join us in our faith journey in this big venture. Let us attempt big things for God for we serve a big GOD.

Even with a meager funds on hand, we are moving by faith to start the building construction last Dec. 15, 2011, believing that what God has started He will finish. The total cost of the building project is USD $1.9 Million, with a total area of 4,733 sq.m. To date, we received USD $216,000.00 cash and $ 888,443.00 pledges. We are still short of about USD $ .9 Million to complete the building project budget and to finish the building construction as planned, so we can offer the course Doctor of Medicine on June, 2013.

Each one of you can take part supporting this project through your prayers and by sending your financial assistance through your sub-alumni chapter president. To donate, please visit us at our web page
www.aup.edu.ph . or email the office of the university advancement at bethcasel@yahoo.com or the president@aup.edu.ph for further inquiries.

Your prayers and financial support is invaluable. Thank you for joining us in our faith journey to see the dawn of the new college that has been dreamed of by our visionary leaders. May God bless you with inner joy and great satisfaction for knowing that You have a part in the realization of the long awaited dream. Please view the attached slideshows.

MABUHAY ANG AUP! Shine on forever.

Very sincerely yours,

Beth

“The best place for the COM would be adjacent to the present academic cluster and not near the New Gate as originally planned.  The location near the Tagaytay-Sta. Rosa road would be reserved for the future development of a bigger COM complex and the hospital…[snip]

“The building planned  [aka Plan B] would cost around 70 million pesos...."

"The COM will be sharing facilities with the Medical Technology (MT) department which could not be accredited until now despite their excellent academic performance due to lack of a building... There will be four classrooms that can be used by other science courses in the basement.”
