Case for Proposed AUP COM Training Hospital - 1

right of way to more than half of its property situated along the Sta Rosa-Tagaytay main highway while entrance and exit will be limited to a narrow strip of right of way northwest of the campus; (2) surrendered a large swath of the northeastern portion of farm land that lies adjacent to a road connecting the Sta-Rosa-Tagaytay highway to Nuvali Blvd and continues southward crossing the Diezmo river; and (3) ceded access to its natural geographical southern boundary, the Diezmo river

Fifty-five (55) hectares of farmland may not seem a lot, compared to what we can keep:  110 hectares.  According to planners and land developers that our present school administrators consulted and hired, there should be enough room for all our residential and classroom requirements, plus an extra 5 hectares for on-campus industries. By the way, our old school campus in Baesa consisted of only about 25 hectares but that was where many of us alumni were able to find work opportunities that enabled us, in part or fully, to finance our college education.  Needless to say, we were less than a thousand college students at the time..  With enrollment that kept increasing, however, it was thought best to move to a much bigger place out in the country where students could farm and engage in profitable industries that can benefit the surrounding community.
