Rebuilding Project of Baesa Adventist Academy (BAA) and Elementary School (BAES)
Building contractor: “… if you are interested in completing the COT building, get a copy of the complete plan. I'll estimate it for you free of charge. If we managed to construct BAESA Academy and Elementary building at around 14.5 M as of present accomplishment 73%, it is possible we can reduce COT building price to actual cost.”
Joselito Coo: “What's the total floor area in sqm of the BAES and Academy? “
Building contractor: “758sq m/flr x 3= 2,274sq m. total floor area for BAA n BAES”
Joselito Coo: PhP14.5 mil is equivalent to approx 73% of the estimated cost to complete the project (x). 0.73x = PhP14.5 mil; x = PhP 19.86 mil rounded to PhP 20 mil. PhP 20,000,000 divided by 2274 sq.m. = PhP 8795 per sq.m. Correct me please if I'm wrong with my computation.
Building contractor: “Yes sir, it is less than Php9,000 per square meter. The top of the 3rd floor is concrete slab in preparation for the 4th floor. When we were about to build the school, somebody told me that the estimate before was around Php 60M. and I told him my estimate is around Php 20m up to 3rd floor but they hardly believed me until they see the real thing.”
